Trillanes = Coup d’état

Posted on November 29, 2007 at 19:22 Down the Drain

What the fuck is going on around here? Christian in his Twitter this afternoon said that he saw a possible coup d’état as he was going home. True enough, there were no other news on TV when I arrived at the dorm from the court. I have no single idea of what it’s all about and why it happened blah, blah, blah. Before, when I was younger (shoot, I’m not yet that old, okay?), I never remembered anything like this happening in the country. I don’t know. Maybe I was just way too passive. Well, actually, I still am up to now. It never comes to me to bother too much when it comes to national issues. But why is it that it doesn’t seem so right now?

When I was having dinner I asked my Political Science student dormmate Zeny on what the commotion was all about. She comments that it would’ve been better if the military exchanged shots immediately with the group-that-I-don’t-know-but-for-certain-is-the-government-side. Prior to that, I received a txt message from a former dormmate who idolizes — and crushes — the legendary (ugh) Trillanes.

“We have enough will-power and fighting spirit to bring this government down. Gloria o Pagbabago?” -Sen. Trillanes- *idol tlg!*

Just what the heck? I absolutely hated the last sentence. For me, she sounded as if Trillanes is a god or something. *sharpshooter aims — BANG!* I don’t know how this will have its end. Media people have been handcuffed and kept in a bus, tear gas being used to halt things, nah, I think Zeny’s idea is right after all. In the end, this may be all a mere Pakitang Tao.

    Exactly, I agree with ya. There’s just no point in having such an uproar, only more people are getting hurt. There were innocent people inside, even the media risked their lives just to capture the event happening inside. I just hope everything will go back to normal. It’s actually the people who are making the problem. And I don’t really idolize Trillanes that much as well, I don’t know why most people go gaga over him, saying that he looks good when you see him personally… o__O;

    Well, I hope you’ll find interest in dancing once more! I remembered my dance group during my elementary years, I miss those times, haha!

    I hate Gloria. Pero kahit naman sinong umupo, ganun din naman ang mangyayari eh. They are all the same.

    may pinanggagalingan kung bakit gumagawa ng ganyang klaseng aksyon ang mga taong iyan. at alam nila kung ano ang kanilang ipinaglalaban. ginawa nila ang ganyang klaseng paraan na para sa kanila ay tama na maaaring mali sa iba para maibulalas ang kanilang hinaing sa ating pamahalaan. kung napanuod mo o mapapanuod mo ang mga balita, binasa ni gen. danilo lim (isa sa mga nagmartsa sa manila pen) ang kanilang mga hinaing kung bakit gumawa sila ng ganyang klaseng aksyon. at para sa akin, nasa katwiran sila. ang nagpakomplikado na lang sa sitwasyon ay ang ginawa nilang pag pasok sa isang sikat na hotel.

    alam ng lahat na may iba pang paraan para iparinig sa pamahalaan ang ating hinaing. ngunit ang nangyayari ay nagiingay tayo sa kalsada ngunit wala namang nakikinig sa atin..

    The government is not the only problem. If it were, why on this 7,107 islands do we have the same problems and they remain unresolved for decades. There must be a huge problem too with the society. Problema kasi sa Pilipino, we don’t make a blue print. Anong nangyari nung napatalisik si Marcos, anong nangyari nung napatalsik si Erap, anong mangyayari kapag napatalsik si Gloria? Basta mapatalsik, okay na. Para kang nag-aral for the sake of going to school, not attaining skills. Sad to say, nost many Filipinos are future-oriented

    The people failed to realized that most of our politicians are just your typical Filipino – in terms of values, cultural norms, etc… We will not be able to eradicate corruption in the gov’t if the common Filipinos will not change themselves. Ultimong Sayote ng kapitbahay, ginagarapal na, what more with public funds?

    Kahit ilang mass protests, kudeta pa ang gawin ng mga tao, not unless they change for the better, walang mangyayari sa Pilipinas. Most Filipinos are good in talking lang naman eh, but when it comes to implementation/actions, nawawala parang bula o kaya nagrereklamo na achu chu chu. Talagang walang mangyayari sa Pilipinas. Ni tamang tawid(marami talagang tumatawid sa ILALIM ng overpass/footbridge), eh AYAW nang gawin ng marami.

    Isang milagrosong “divine intervention” nalang ata maksasalba sa Pilipinas. Sa ugali ba ng maraming Pilipino? Sheesh.

    Pero nagtataka ako kay Trillanes at Lim kung bakit naman sa lahat lahat eh hotel ang pinagdidiskitahan nila… sosi pa na hotel. They must have political or personal interest over the matter, not really ‘for the people’ as they claim. Nakakaduda talaga. Nag-aala Thai military ata sila, pero kung gusto nilang maging successful sa coup, sa kalsada sila magkudeta, hindi sa hotel na mahal ang charge(pinagkaiba ng Thai coup sa adventurism nila, maliban sa nasa ibang bansa yung former Thai PM). Sana sa susunod nilang hotel seige, wala na ako sa Pilipinas at kapag naging successful sila, baka maskatakot takot ang mangyayari. baka maging ala-Marcos yan – iisa ang executive at legislative.

    @Kris: I totally agree with your views about Filipinos (whoa, now I’m talking like I’m not one x_x;). Yeah, perhaps only divine intervention will ‘save’ this country and its people. Nevertheless, I believe that we will always survive despite everything.
