Most blog visitors don’t really care if you have one since all that care about is that entry itself.
Exactly, because not all visitors/readers are bloggers like us. So you actually modify the category IDs every time that happens?

And like I said, I do use categories but don’t display them in my posts (for now). They’re somewhere in this site if you only know how to look. I’m OC too, so don’t tell me what to do because it is indeed a possibility for me to delete all the categories I currently have. Happy now?

I do partly see it cool. Yeah, maybe my images (or any file for that matter) will never ever be hotlink-ed. But then, since the feature’s there, why bother not to use it. And besides, I just learned a new lesson myself. :tongue:

First of all thank you very much for the very informative comment. I think I haven’t heard anything about that that quirks mode before but I must say that for my part, even though you stated that having illegal content before the doctype has the same effect as an invalid doctype or having no doctype at all, I still consider it “harmless” by the mere basis that the validator accepted it without any warnings.
I have tried using an XML declaration before but it didn’t turn out valid when I checked it. I didn’t know if there was only a typo but one thing’s for sure: from that day until today, I haven’t used it again and stuck to the meta tag instead. Lastly, I think there are still a lot of IE users out there who use 6.
